A mid 18th century oak lowboy or sidetable of attractive design, the two plank top has a moulded edge above three short drawers, all with fruitwood crossbanding and brass backplates, most of which are probably original. The outer corners have rounded chamfers.
The frieze below is arched and shaped, with similar shaping to the sides, and raised on well-drawn cabriole legs ending in pointed pad feet (losses to the two rear toes).
The colour is rich and intense with excellent patina. English, circa 1750-1780.

Dimensions:

78 cms wide, 46 cms deep and 72 cms high.
