Oak and Elm Welsh Farmhouse Dining Table

An oak rustic characterful Welsh Dining Table with an elm top of five planks with a series of pegged, concealed tenons, standing on four plain rectangular section legs joined by an “H” stretcher (the central long stretcher replaced). The stretcher arrangement allows dining chairs to sit comfortably at the table which will accommodate eight people.
Areas of historic worm damage to the top and legs and with metal corner braces. The top has a warm honey colour, the base is a rich dark brown with good patina. Welsh borders, circa 1800-1820.

196.5 cms long, 81 cms deep, 71 cms high, 60.5 cms high to the underside of the frieze.
