A good example of a mid 19th century Welsh oak spoon rack in excellent condition, made of well-figured native timber with a warm honey colour. Each of the three tiers is pierced for six spoons, with an arched and cusped cresting and undulating lower frieze. The rack is being sold with ten, mid 20th century, sycamore cawl spoons of elegant design. Probably from Carmarthenshire, the rack, circa 1850-70, the spoons circa 1950-60.
